In cooperation with the Saxony University of Cooperative Education, we offer you the opportunity to study supply and building services engineering. After graduating, you will receive a bachelor's degree, excellent chances of being hired and the best prerequisites for getting started.
The alternation between theory and practical phases offers a varied, practice-oriented alternative to traditional studies. We give you the opportunity to network with contacts for your professional future at an early stage.
Key points
- The standard period of study is 3 years (six semesters)
- Theory and practical phases alternate every quarter
- Studies begin annually on 01 October
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree / Bachelor of Arts with 180 ECTS credits
- The accredited Bachelor's degree of the Saxony University of Cooperative Education is equivalent to the Bachelor's degree of the universities.
Learning content
- During your studies, you will acquire the ability to master the requirements and new challenges in the field of supply and building technology.
- You will learn the basics about distribution systems in the field of building services engineering, district and local heating supply.
- The focus is on the areas of planning, project planning, construction and operation of building technology systems, but also supply and disposal systems.
- You pass through several stations in different units, for example in planning, our infrastructure facilities.
- Many exciting practical and project experiences, so that you can immediately apply the theoretical knowledge you have learned.
- Our successful theory partner, the "Staatliche Studienakademie Riesa", offers the advantages of dual, practice-integrated studies and is a partner of the system for recruiting qualified junior staff and equally promotes and challenges our students.
Procedure
- Theoretical training at the BA Sachsen, State Study Academy Riesa
- Knowledge transfer in the subjects of mathematics, construction (CAD techniques), energy technology, heating, air-conditioning and sanitary technology, heating and cooling supply
- Theory and practice alternate at 3-month intervals
- Practical training at IFT GmbH in Moritzburg/Dresden and/or at other locations and major projects
- Participation in the project team, independent tasks in plant construction planning
- In-house qualification (technical, work-methodical and personality-building)
- Theoretical training at the BA Sachsen, State Study Academy Riesa
What you bring with you
- General higher education entrance qualification, entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification
- You do not have a higher education entrance qualification, but:
- a master craftsman's certificate, completed vocational training in conjunction with a passed entrance examination, completion of an advanced training course (e.g. technician)
- Good knowledge of mathematics, physics and German
- High willingness to learn and to work hard, reliability
- Basic knowledge of science and technology
- Enthusiasm for technology
Studies completed ‒ what then?
The possible applications are as diverse as the study programme itself. Only a few are mentioned here:
- Planning, project planning and supervision of supply and building technology systems (e.g. ventilation, air conditioning, heating, water and gas technology)
- Planning and management of construction or production
- Approval and testing of systems
